SCANSOURCE PURCHASES POINT-OF-SALE DISTRIBUTOR PC4

GREENVILLE, SC - March 03, 2008 - ScanSource, Inc., {Nasdaq: SCSC}, a leading international value-added distributor of specialty technology products, has entered into an agreement with PC4, a wholesale distributor of point-of-sale (POS) hardware, to purchase certain assets of the company, including PC4’s commercial POS product inventory.

Through this acquisition, PC4’s customers will now have access to the industry’s most comprehensive menu of value-added services, as well as the first-class logistics services on which ScanSource has built its business. ScanSource is committed to delivering the highest-quality POS products and solutions to resellers, while helping them to grow their businesses with education and training programs, industry leading pre- and post-sale technical support, system integration services and marketing support.

PC4 is owned by the Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA), the industry association for retail technology. PC4’s commercial POS revenues were approximately $8 million a year.
